ONEONTA DOLLARS FOR SCHOLARS

Oneonta Dollars for Scholars is a community-based foundation affiliated with Scholarship America. Oneonta Dollars for Scholars’ primary purpose is to enhance scholarship funding for Oneonta students.

 JAMES & CAROL BAKER FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

Presented to a graduating Oneonta High School senior entering a field of study in business, education or engineering

 

FRANK G. & ETHEL E. BECKER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Presented to a student who encourages his/her peers to foster positive attitudes and behaviors and leads by example

 

ANGIE BERTUZZI MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Presented to a graduating senior who has demonstrated a kind and caring attitude toward the Oneonta community through participation in community service

 

EUGENE A. BETTIOL, JR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Presented to a graduating senior who is pursuing a 2-year postsecondary degree in New York State and who displays a caring attitude towards others and is dedicated to the community


BROOKS’ BAR-B-Q CHARITABLE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

Presented to a graduating senior involved in restaurant/hospitality management, BOCES food service program or 4H

 

WALTER J. & ANNA H. BURCHAN SCHOLARSHIP

Presented to an individual who demonstrates an interest in the environment and demonstrates good moral character and good sportsmanship

 

THE DAILY STAR SCHOLARSHIP

Presented to a senior student who has been actively involved in high school print publications

 

THE DEWAR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS

Presented to graduating seniors by the Dewar Foundation Board of Trustees

Presented to a senior student planning to major in Early Childhood Education or Social Studies/History

Presented to a student demonstrating academic success, outstanding citizenship, and good moral character; planning to further his/her education in religious studies, the ministry, community or human services

Presented to graduating seniors demonstrating exceptional interest and participation in community service

Presented to a graduating senior who has excelled in athletics

Presented to an OHS graduate who is planning to pursue a career in Biology/forensics and who demonstrates high moral standards, a gentle spirit and a genuine love for learning

Presented to a graduating senior by the Thomas M. Hughson Scholarship Endowment Fund

 

STEVEN A. LUTZ MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Lutz Family provides scholarship assistance in memory of their son, Steven, to an Oneonta High School graduate who plans to further his/her post-high school education by attending a vocational school or a two or four year college or university.

THE WILLIES FAMILY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

Presented to a graduating senior who demonstrates scholarship and leadership with preference being given to a student pursuing a career in education or engineering
