Description of PTO positions

Here's what to expect in each position.

The President/Co-President preside at all PTO meetings and can call special meetings when necessary. They keep a notebook that contains meeting minutes, volunteer information, and other relevant items. The president fills out building permits, sends thank-yous to volunteers, and takes care of PTO correspondence on a weekly basis. Other duties include establishing a program calendar for the coming year and seeing that committees are formed when needed.

The Secretary records the minutes of each meeting, takes attendance at meetings, and transcribes the minutes into a permanent format.

The Treasurer receives all money acquired by the PTO and pays all obligations. They maintain a permanent record of all financial transactions and report on financial standing at each PTO meeting.
