School Hours: 8:35 a.m.-3:15 p.m.
As a safety issue, students are not allowed to enter the building before 8:35 AM except students who are going to breakfast at 8:25 AM. All visitors/volunteers are required to check in at the Main Office. All exterior doors will be locked on the outside from 8:55 AM-3:15 PM except the doors at the office end.
Please do not go to the classroom prior to this time. This gives the teachers time to prepare for the activities of the day. Please make an appointment if you wish to meet with your child’s teacher. This will allow the time and privacy needed when discussing your child.
Morning Program: Opens at 7:15 a.m.
Students must be registered.
Breakfast Opens at 8:25 a.m.
If your child participates in early breakfast, they should use the doors by the cafeteria.
Classes begin at 8:50 a.m.
Students are considered tardy after this time.
School day ends at 3:10 p.m./3:15 p.m.
All students who walk to school or picked up by families are dismissed at 3:10 PM. Parents are asked to wait for their children outside of the building. This enables the staff to finalize their day's activities and helps alleviate hallway crowding. All bus students are dismissed by 3:15 PM.
Recess
Students need to be prepared to go outside for recess every day unless it is raining. Outdoor recess may be shortened on extremely cold days at the discretion of the teachers, the nurse, and/or the principal.
Safety
For safety reasons, the traffic circle in front of the school is for buses and official vehicles only. You can no longer driver into the circle or part in front of the school at any time while the safety cones are in the circle.
Visitors to the School
All visitors are required to report to the Main Office, sign in and get a school visitor badge. When you have completed the visit, please return to the office to sign out. Students MUST be picked up or dropped off during the school day at the Main Office. Visitations to classrooms for any purpose require advanced permission from the building principal. This allows teachers the opportunity to arrange their schedules to accommodate such requests.
2 Hour Delay
Students can enter their classrooms at 10:35 a.m. School begins at 10:50 a.m. Breakfast is not available when we have a 2 hour delay.
