WELCOME

Mr. Kevin Johnson, Principal

Oneonta Middle School serves the 7th and 8th graders of the Oneonta City School District in the central New York city of Oneonta.

Philosophy

The Oneonta Middle School believes all young adolescents should have an opportunity to succeed in every aspect of the middle school program and that the educational program should be shaped to fit the needs of students.  The middle school should be a place where trusting relationships with adults and peers establish a climate for intellectual development and personal growth.  Every student should learn to think critically through mastery of an appropriate body of knowledge and demonstration of critical skills.
