• Discovery Health - gives excellent information on conditions and diseases, injuries, surgeries, and medical tests.  Also has personal health calculators and assessments.
• Health Finder - guide to reliable health information by the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services.  Includes access to online publications, clearinghouses, databases, web sites, support and self-help groups, government agencies and not-for-profit organizations.
• Infotrac Health Reference - health reference database from NYS.
• Intelihealth- from experts at Johns Hopkins; includes medical dictionary, facts on diseases and conditions, health management tips, and discussion boards.  Also has health risk assessments, guides, and calculators.
• Medem Online Library - Medem, partnered with the nation's leading medical societies, offers this online source for comprehensive healthcare information.  Use the search box to search the site or browse the categories: "Life Stages," "Diseases and Conditions," "Therapies and Health Strategies," and "Health and Society."
• Medlineplus - A-Z guide to information on hundreds of diseases, conditions, and wellness issues; selected by the National Library of Medicine.  Some information is technical, but much is consumer-friendly.  Includes drug information, dictionaries, and directories of health officials and health facilities.
• WebMD - Current information -  a clear and easy webpage to navigate
  

• Meals For You - menu plans and thousands of recipes searchable by categories such as weight loss, vegetarian, low-fat, and high-fiber.  Both menus and individual recipes have complete nutritional breakdowns.
• Shape Up America - a site launched by C. Everett Koop and Shape Up America, an organization that encourages people to be more active and maintain a healthy weight.  Includes meal plans and recipes.
• U.S. Dept of Agriculture Nutrient Database - contains more than 2500 fat-free or low fat recipes and complete nutritional breakdowns of ingredients.

• Clinical Depression - Up to date information about depression and its treatment
• Internet Mental Health - excellent site for detailed, understandable information on 54 of the most common mental disorders, including description, diagnosis, treatment, research findings, and psychiatric drugs.  Also includes an extensive list of links to other mental health sites.
• Online Psychology Dictionary - links to many sites offering different viewpoints on issues in mental health. Use the Mental Health Search Engine to search over one hundred other major sources of mental health information.

• Internet Mental Health - list of links, including search engine links, to several sites dealing with eating disorders.
• Mining Company - links to websites dealing with eating disorders. Very helpful for sufferers as well as family and friends.
• Mirror-Mirror - a comprehensive site with information on definitions, symptoms, getting help, finding a therapist, and relapse prevention. Also includes messages of hope from survivors, links to other sites, connections to support chat groups, and suggested readings.
