Although our school library will be physically closed soon, there are still many opportunities for students to read this summer! Through our partnership with the ONC BOCES School Library System, students have access to many, many free eBooks! The Greater Plains Elementary School Library

myON,
OverDrive, and
Tumblebooks. Our newest resource,
myON is being provided through the end of September 2018 by the State Education Department as part of their "New York Libraries Rock" Summer 2018 programming.
All of these resources require a username and a password. Information will be sent home during the last week of school to families to help students access these sites. In addition, students in grades 1-5 have been shown how to use these resources as well. Numerous studies have shown that students who do not read over the summer lose valuable reading progress upon their return to school in the fall. So this summer don't forget to make time for READING!
