OCSD Teachers Present at Area Conference
Oneonta Middle School teachers, Ms. Allers and Ms. Whitehurst, and Oneonta High School teacher Ms. Lamb all presented at an area conference recently. The ConnectEd conference is hosted in the Broome -Tioga region and focuses on the use of technology in the classroom. Ms. Allers and Ms. Whitehurst (OMS World Language teachers) presented on a tool called Pear Deck, which allows for interactive presentations and vocabulary flashcards that also pair with formative assessment tools. Ms. Lamb (OHS World Language teacher) presented on Storyboard That, a free online tool for story board creation, which she uses with her students.
