Chromebook FAQ

Q: My Chromebook is stuck in night mode
A: Sometimes Chromebooks will get stuck in this "nighttime" mode.  The solution to this problem is to simply shut the Chromebook all the way down, wait 5 minutes, and then sign in again.  When you get back into Chrome, close all open tabs and start fresh. (High School Chromebooks do not have a night-mode).

Q: How do I "power wash" my Chromebook?
A:
  1. Press the ESC, the Refresh (circle with arrow, above the number 4 on the keyboard), and the Power Button all at once.

  2. When white screen comes up, Press Ctrl-D

  3. Follow screen instructions

  4. Get on your home WIFI

  5. Accept

  6. Login using your school account.

Q: My Chromebook power cord is lost or broken.  How can I replace it?

A:  You must purchase a replacement power cord.  The best prices we have seen are at Amazon.

Verify which Chromebook you have prior to searching for the replacement charger.  The two models are:

  1. HP Chromebook 11 G6/G7 - USB Type C charger
  2. Dell 3100 Chromebook charger - USB Type C Charger
  3. Lenovo 100e - USB Type C 45W charger
Q: I have to keep reconnecting to my home wifi.  Is there a way I can stay connected?
