Resources
We are again taking part in New York Thursday, a New York State Farm to school initiative! NY Thursday meals are cooked from scratch in each district's kitchen using seasonal foods that are grown, harvested and/or produced in state. We will be offering the meals once a month, sometimes twice!
This Farm to School program supports local farms, provides fresh and healthy lunches to students, and broadens students' understanding of local food systems.
This program is made possible by Food and Health Network, DCMO BOCES Food Service Management team, the Sidney Farm to School Program, and of course, New York State Farms.
Breakfast and Lunch
Oneonta City Schools are pleased to announce all students enrolled at Oneonta City Schools are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of the 2024-2025 school year. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit a free and reduced application. It is still very important for reimbursement and other state grants that the Free & Reduced Price Lunch application be submitted.
We need only one application per family. If your children are in more than one school building, you may receive more than one application. You may keep or discard any duplicates.
If you have any questions or need help in filling out the application form, please contact: Cassandra Castle, Assistant Food Service Director at 607-433-8243 Ext: 2153
Only one breakfast and one lunch is available at no charge. Extras, snacks, ala carte items and milk (purchased separate from a meal) will have to be purchased. Make sure you join us for breakfast and lunch!
We will also have “lunch pail buddies” available for your child! Let us provide the fruit, veggie and milk, you supply anything else! This counts as a meal, so there is no charge! They just grab a bag, put their number in and go!
Myschoolbucks will still be available if you would like to see what your child is eating or put money on his or her account for snacks. Go to www.myschoolbucks.com to sign up today. There is a nominal fee to make a payment, but free to sign up and check balances or history!
