Mrs. Melinda Murdock

My name is Melinda K. Murdock, and I am the extremely proud Principal of Riverside Elementary. My professional career reflects more than 24 years of leadership, education, professional development, supervision, program management, and development in the field of education and community outreach. As a detail-oriented visionary with a passion for supporting students and families holistically, I am incredibly fortunate to work for a team of educators who are like-minded.

At Riverside, we pride ourselves on going above and beyond to ensure all students and their families feel loved, safe, and supported. I have been fortunate enough to be part of the Riverside community for over two decades. This community is an extension of my own family. My goal, every day, is to ensure every child in this school is treated the way I would want my own daughters to be treated. I do my very best to lead this building with love, compassion, and kindness, and I complement it by maintaining high expectations. As a member of this school community, your child will know me, and they will know how much I care about them.

Outside of school, my husband of 30 years and I have raised two beautiful daughters, and we have been blessed with two amazing granddaughters. As an avid outdoorswoman, I love spending time in our horse barn, riding horses, playing golf, or hunting in the woods.
