Message for families with information about 2019-2020 Emergency Days
Due to the unfortunate circumstances leading to our delayed school year start we were forced to use 2 of our allotted 6 emergency days which means we now have 4 emergency days remaining. The following contingency plan has been established should we find ourselves in need of additional emergency days prior to the April break:
If, prior to the April break we have used 5 emergency days and are in need of 1 additional day, we will be in school on Monday, April 13th.
If, prior to the April break we have used all 6 emergency days we will then be in school Monday, April 6th and Monday, April 13th to constitute our 179th and 180th calendar days.
On the other end of the spectrum, in the event that we have at least one remaining emergency day in May, the Friday before Memorial Day will then be used as a district day off that gets us down to our 180 day school year.
Certainly hoping that we will not need any emergency days beyond our four remaining, but certainly wanted to share this contingency as quickly as possible.
