In March, K-5 Valleyview students spent library class time participating in a "Helping Hands for Ukraine" project. Each child added their painted handprint to a letter brought home providing information on ways in which families could donate to humanitarian aid being provided to refugees from war-torn Ukraine. Each K-5 library class discussed the conflict and the empathy that can be shown despite our distance from Ukraine, and created the painted handprint letters as a show of fundraising support. The Valleyview PTO also agreed to make a donation towards humanitarian aid.
