Valleyview Receives Grant from Bassett Research Institute
At the November "Valleyview Rocks!" community assembly, Kristin Pullyblank from the Bassett Research Institute and Center for Rural Community Health presented principal Walt Baskin with a plaque and a check for $1500 as Valleyview School was recognized as the 2018-2019 Excellence in School Wellness award winners. The $1500 award will go towards the purchase and installation of a water bottle filling station at Valleyview for students to use throughout the school day to keep hydrated. Valleyview has in recent years implemented various school wellness initiatives which were recognized during the assembly presentation, initiatives which are designed to have a lasting impact on the entire school community.
