Today, April 9, students in Mrs. Abbe Furnari’s Child and Development class took a special field trip to the Oneonta Boys and Girls Club to take part in The Week of the Young Child, a nationwide celebration that highlights the importance of early learning and the work of those who support young children.
The event offered a fun and meaningful opportunity for OHS students to engage with children through hands-on activities like face painting, arts and crafts, and classic group games. Laughter and creativity filled the room as high school students helped bring joy and connection to the young participants.
“What a great experience for these children!” said Mrs. Furnari.
The day was filled with smiles, learning, and lots of play—a memorable experience for everyone involved.
