On Saturday, April 12, Oneonta High School students were recognized for their outstanding creativity at the Young at Art! Regional Youth Art Contest, held at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown.
This year’s exhibition, Young at Art! Timeless Tales, Vibrant Visions, featured selected works from talented high school artists across Central New York. Among them were several OHS students whose pieces stood out for their imagination and artistic excellence.
Senior Abigail Babbit earned a First Place award in Drawing for her piece Journey Through Legends. Senior Natalie Wilde was awarded Second Place in Painting for her reimagined take on Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Seniors Eden Jackson (Stevie Nicks) and Bernisse Murillo (Siren) both received Honorable Mentions for their unique and compelling work.
All four students are active members of the OHS Art Club, with Abigail also representing the National Art Honor Society.
The exhibition is on view at the Fenimore Art Museum through May 7, 2025. Great job Yellowjackets!
