March 6-8: BIG WEEKEND FOR YELLOWJACKET PRIDE!

It’s an exciting weekend to be a Yellowjacket! There are many opportunities to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our students across athletics, the arts, and extracurricular activities. We are proud of the dedication and hard work our students continue to demonstrate, and we hope our community will join us in cheering them on.

👟 Members of the Oneonta Track & Field team are competing today and tomorrow, March 6–7, at the 2026 NYSPHSAA Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island. Qualifying for the state championship is an outstanding achievement, and we wish our athletes the very best as they represent Oneonta on the state stage. 📣 Also competing at the state level this weekend are our Varsity Cheerleaders, who will travel to Binghamton on Saturday, March 7, to participate in the NYSPHSAA Competitive Cheerleading Championships. These athletes have worked incredibly hard throughout the season, and we are proud to see them showcase their talent and dedication at this prestigious event. 🎶 On Saturday, March 7, Oneonta High School is also proud to host the Otsego County Music Educators’ Association (OCMEA) All-County Festival. This event brings together talented student musicians from across the region for a day of rehearsals and performances. The public is invited to attend the concerts, which will take place in the Oneonta High School Auditorium. The Elementary Concert begins at 1:00 PM, followed by the Secondary Concert at 2:30 PM. Ticket prices are $15 for families, $5 for adults, and $1 for students. Please note that parking may be limited.

🎭 Families are also invited to start their Sunday morning with the OHS Drama Club at their Character Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, March 8, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Oneonta High School cafeteria. Guests will enjoy pancakes, live music, face painting, and other fun activities for the whole family, along with the opportunity to meet fairy tale characters from The Princess and the Pea. Suggested donations are $5 per person or $20 per family.

🏀 The weekend will conclude with an exciting matchup for our Oneonta Boys Varsity Basketball team, who will compete for the Section IV Class A Championship title against Maine-Endwell on Sunday, March 8, at 3:15 PM at the Visions Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton.
