May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to highlight the importance of mental well-being for all. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), 1 in 6 youth aged 6–17 experience a mental health disorder each year, and 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness annually. Throughout the month, OCSD will be sharing activities, education, and resources to support the mental health of our students, staff, and families. Our dedicated school staff support student wellness every day. This month, they’ve worked especially hard to share helpful tools and tips—resources intended not just for the students in our buildings, but for our entire school community. 💛 To kick off the month, we’re sharing Mental Health America’s “31 Tips to Boost Your Mental Health” calendar—a simple, encouraging way to prioritize your well-being one day at a time. 🧠✨ You can find the calendar in the images or by visiting: 🔗 https://mhanational.org/resources/31-tips-to-boost-your-mental-health 💚 Don’t forget to wear green this Friday in support of mental health awareness! The flyer invites veterans and a guest to a free breakfast at Oneonta Middle School on Monday, November 11, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The address is 130 East Street, Oneonta, NY.
