The Oneonta City School District is excited to share that four district schools earned a combined total of $5,161 through the 2025 Hannaford Helps Schools program. Greater Plains, Riverside, Valleyview, and Oneonta High School all benefited from the generosity of families, friends, and community members who directed their coupon earnings to our schools this spring.
Leading the district was Greater Plains Elementary School, which achieved an outstanding total of $4,027.00. This marks a record breaking year for Greater Plains, far surpassing last year’s total of $362.04. Hannaford also recognized Greater Plains as one of the top 200 schools in the Northeast, awarding a $1,000 program bonus in addition to the base donation and community contributions.
Riverside Elementary, Valleyview Elementary, and Oneonta High School also saw strong community participation, earning $366.00, $360.00, and $408.00, respectively. Schools will use these funds to support student activities, events, and valuable classroom resources that enrich the student experience throughout the school year.

Next year’s Hannaford Helps campaign will run from April 5 through May 30, 2026, and OCSD looks forward to building on this year’s tremendous success.
