Rock Your School Day Brings the Energy at Riverside Elementary

Riverside Elementary turned up the volume this morning for Rock Your School Day! Students were greeted with lively music, a band playing outside, and a red carpet entrance as staff members dressed in their “security detail” best welcomed our Yellowjacket rock stars into the building.

The excitement continued inside, where disco balls, sparkling decorations, colorful lights, and upbeat tunes filled the halls. Many students dressed the part, embracing the rock star theme with enthusiasm and creativity.

Superintendent Brindley joined in the fun as the official judge for “Most Rockin’ Classroom.” After a tough decision, the award went to the incredible stars of Mrs. Andrew’s 4th Grade Class, with Ms. Winn and Mrs. Scobie’s classrooms earning close runner-up recognition for their outstanding atmosphere.

Mr. Brindley and Mrs. Murdock then made a special visit to the winning classroom to present mini “Grammys,” celebrating their rock star spirit and creativity.

Throughout the morning, students were treated like true VIPs, complete with hand stamps for admittance as they passed through red carpet security.

The energy was contagious and the smiles endless as Riverside kicked off the first of four themed school days planned throughout the year. It was a morning to remember—one that truly rocked their learning!

GO 'JACKETS!
