All children have the right to attend school in a safe, welcoming, and caring environment. DASA specifically ensures this for New York State public school students.
NY's Dignity for All Students Act seeks to provide all public school students with a safe and supportive environment free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment and bullying on school property, a school bus and/or at a school function.
