Smart Schools Bond Act

The SMART SCHOOLS BOND ACT (SBBA) OF 2014 was passed in the 2014-15 Enacted Budget and approved by the voters in a statewide referendum held during the 2014 General Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. The Smart Schools Bond Act authorized the issuance of $2 billion of general obligation bonds to finance improved educational technology and infrastructure to improve learning and opportunity for students throughout the State.

Public Hearing

The  Oneonta City Schools Bond Act Hearing will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 @ 7:00 p.m. at Oneonta Middle School located at 130 Upper East Street, Oneonta, New York 13820. During the hearing, the public will have the opportunity to comment on the two documents on the right:

 
1. Preliminary Approval 
2. Smart Schools Investment Plan 
 
Written comments on the plan may be submitted to Eileen Lishansky, District Clerk, 31 Center Street, Oneonta, NY  13820 or to elishansky@oneontacsd.org no later than Wednesday, January 18th, 2017 at 3:30 PM.
